Ernest Jones schreibt aus Zürich an Frieda Gross: "I thought it better to tell him [gemeint ist C. G. Jung] that I had analysed you, as there were some things I wanted to tell him about you, & said we had concealed it for Otto's sake. He was very verblufft and puzzled, but accepted the explanation. [...] He strongly thinks that at all costs you must leave Otto & could understand your difficulty, until I told him something about your feelings towards and relations to O's parents. [...] Jung thinks, as I do, that O. is sucking your life in order to get stimuli for himself in rather a sadistic way (provoking attacks on) und das geht nicht. [...]"
