Heinrich

When you, gentle deceased,
look up to me from
the frozen ground,
I whirl my limbs in dancing still.
Sweet tastes the bread of earth,
the confusion of love.
You see me in tears?
I cry for the living -
ensnared as am I in the world -
a silver fish in a net.

Heinrich

Wenn du, mein Toter,
zu mir schaust aus dem
eisgefrorenen Grund,
spüre ich meine Glieder noch tanzen.
Süß schmeckt das Brot der Erde,
Wirrsal der Liebe.
Siehst Du mich weinen?
Ich weine um dich Lebenden -
verstrickt wie ich bin -
ein silberner Fisch im Netz der Welt.
